Ford’s Escape is a popular crossover choice in the market due to its power-packed performance since its institution. The base trim being priced at $240,00, and its higher end trim at $30,000, the Ford Escape has good value for money as it is both athletic in its performance and stylish in its aesthetic appeal. Equipped with a turbocharged engine to boost fuel efficiency, this crossover has ample leg room, is decked with two-row seats and has a classy styled interior. However, Ford offers four trims and three engine choices on the Escape series and understanding each would enable the buyer to pick the right choice.

  • Ford Escape S: This base trim is priced at $237,50, and is standardly equipped with a front wheel drive and 168 hp V4 engine. The room to add additional features is very limited.
  • Ford Escape SE: Priced at $252,50, this trim has a 179 hp turbo V4 engine and has power-adjustable driver’s seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, and satellite radio. In addition, this trim also has all-wheel drive, a panoramic sunroof, and a power liftgate. With the payment of additional costs, there could be an upgrade for heated front seats, the SYNC 3 infotainment system, leather upholstery, and blind spot monitoring.
  • Ford Escape Titanium: This is Ford’s highest trim on the series and is priced at about $292,50. While the standard engine is available on this trim, it also has the option of upgrading to the turbo-V4 engine that generates a hp of about 245. One of the other standard features, in addition to all other features that are available in the lower trims, includes the 10-speaker Sony audio system. At an additional cost, the buyer has the option to install lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control with pre-collision braking, automatic parking, and a heated steering wheel.

The overall fuel efficiency on this series was estimated to be 20-23 mpg in the city and around 27-30 mpg on the highway. The Ford Escape is also a winner of the safety crash tests due to its technologically-advanced safety measures.
