Nissan Motor Corporation Limited or simply Nissan is an automotive products’ manufacturer and seller from Japan. It was established on 26th December 1933 and is currently headquartered in Yokohama-shi, Kanagawa, Japan. On 1st April 2017, Hiro to Saikawa took over as the Chief Executive Officer of the company thereby succeeding Carlos Ghosn.

Nissan continually strives to produce best in class products that are a combination of high performance, latest technology, and captivating designs. It aims to carry on the legacy by ensuring enhanced stakeholder value through its Nissan Infiniti and Datsun brands. In 2015, it recorded net sales of 121,90 billions of yen which were 815 billions of yen more than those of 2014.

The company’s operations span across US, Mexico, UK, Spain, China, India, Taiwan, Brazil, Thailand, Philippines, South Africa and Indonesia. In the U.S.A., Nissan’s regional headquarters (Nissan North America Inc.) is situated in Franklin, Tennessee. NNA controls and coordinates the production and marketing operations of North America. The company has a full-fledged Research Center, Technical Center and Design Center. There are production units for the manufacture of vehicles, lithium ion batteries, engines, motors and other automotive products. Also, the Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation provides financial services to the North American division.

The Nissan Foundation was established as a part of its corporate social responsibility program. It provides financial support to different organizations in the country, which endorse cultural heterogeneity. Nissan promotes communal harmony and awards greater understanding between communities.

Though the company manufactures several cars in different segments, the 2017 Nissan Altima is its top seller. This flagship product is the proud successor of Nissan Bluebird and offers strong competition to other mid-sized sedans.
